I will present the state of the art in Eiffel development, some of the current applications, and the newest developments in areas such as concurrency, component-based development, language advances such as "agents" for event-driven programming and others. About the speaker: Bertrand Meyer has been Professor of Software Engineering at ETH Zurich since late 2001; previously he was the founder of Eiffel Software in Santa Barbara, where he remains Chief Architect.
