Applications
built in OmniGo 100Â
Some applications you can see on the picture above but there is more applications,
that can help you with your organizing and work. Let's go to say a few
words about each application built in OmniGo.
It is application, which helps you to manage your appointmens, ToDo
lists and timetables. You can browse your tasks in daily, week,
month or 4-months views. You can make repeating appointments,
e.g. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 17:30-18:00 from 16.10.1996 to
23.3.2020 etc. You can use copy, move and drag&drop
functions as in any other Ogo application. You can attach
note to an appointment. (This very useful feature is also
available in other Ogo applications: The Database,
The Phonebook, The Spreadsheet, etc.)
The Phonebook is an instance of the Database application
buil in Ogo. You have several fields as Name, Phone, Address,
etc. - its normal. But you also have Category field. You can divide
your conacts into categories (each contact can be in more than one
category) and you can filter these categories in PhoneBook browse.
Find function is (of course) available in all Ogo applications.
You can select record into clipboard and then paste it into your Notepad
document or attach to an appointment, spreadsheet and so on.
The Notepad is simple word procesor. I think, it is equivalent to WordPad
(from W95) or Write (W3.11). You can divide texts into paragraphs, use
bold, italic, underlined, or combined
letters. You also have small and Large
font. Paragraphs can be aligned to left, right or
center. You also can include ink-drawing (pictures) into your documents.
You can use the pen or the kyeboard for all what you do.
This is true in all Ogo applications!
The Database
The Database have all features as The Phonebook application described
above. You can create your new databases and define fields as text, number,
listbox, incremental/decremental number listbox or category field.
This is application for quick note taking. You have up to 20 pages where
you can draw ink or write via keybord or pen. After, when you have more
time, you can attach pages to items in other Ogo applications.
Financial Tools
Financial Tools is set of financial applications, which you can
use for your financial analysis. You have equation solver (with
iterativ or graphic solving), TVM
for compute payments, List Stats for statistical analysis, conversions
(curency, length, volume, mass, area, temperature), useful data
calculations and so on. The add on is HP 12c programable financial
HP calculator.
Small spreadsheet application with a lot of functions for storing and computing
you data.
The Calculator
Useful calculator with many mathematical functions, but not programable.
World Time
World Time is database of more than 300 world cities with their
timezone and position on the Earth. You can edit this database and add
you own cities.
Stopwatch
Stopwatch is application which includes alarm, timer
and stopwatch function.
The Book Reader
The Book Reader is application that allows to you read hypertext
books made with Geoworks Bindery.
Setup
This application allows you setup all features of your Ogo,
begins from pen calibration through pasword and sound configuration to
setup printer.
Graffiti
Graffiti application is tool for learning Graffiti strokes. It is because
Ogo don't uses standard letters for the pen input of character,
but uses simple "one-stroke" Graffity letters for improve performance and
faster letter recognition. You get almost 100% accuracy afer a few days

Solitaire
The game for long whiles.
Help
Online help is aviable from every Ogo applicaions and is
context sensitive.
 Other
Applications and Utils available for Ogo
On the Internet you can get a lot of useful applications and utilities.
The most of them are shareware or freeware.
OgEdit
Simple ascii editor. Useful especialy for editing configurations files.
BMS File Manager
Good file manager for OmniGo.
Battery Watcher
Graphic battery watcher, more detailed that one built in Ogo.
Epert Mode
Expert Mode for Geos, running also on Ogo. Allows you adnvanced
configurations of your plamtom without editing your INI files manualy.
OgComm
Program for communication via modem.
Electronic books
for Book Reader
Content of electronic books made by Geoworks Bindery.
DOS mode programs
I think, the best one is Omniswp, which restores Ogo
text mode and allows use virtual 80-column mode.

 Connecting
to PC
You have several ways. More expensive is to buy some some official
connectivity program, for example Connectivity Pack or Clip&Go.
But you also can buy only special (relatively cheap) serial cable and use
some shareware program (e.g. Omnicom) or communicate in DOS mode
using DOS Intersvr/Interlnk or Norton Commander. I
use Omnicom, which communicates with Ogo via Ogo's communication
protocol (9600/19200 b/sec) or NC in DOS mode, which is more faster (cca
57 kb/sec).
