[OSy] Anybody experiencing problems with libiconv on OS X ?

When trying to compile the sources via Makefile, I encountered the
following problem.

"""
Incompatible library version: mipsel-linux-gnu-gcc requires version 8.0.0
or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 7.0.0
"""

I tried updating the libiconv library via homebrew, without much success (
I possess the latest version, namely libiconv-1.14).

Any ideas as to what to do with this?
