Hi everybody,
I'd also like to ask if anyone is willing to team up.
I'm a second year bachelor student and I passed all the standard first year
courses,
which means that I have some brief experience with C, but that's about it.
I'd like to start working on the assignments early and, if possible, to
implement all the stated features (basic and extended).
I can speak both Czech and English fairly well.
If anyone is interested, send me a reply.
Best regards,
Michal Tichý

Good morning people,
I’d like to grab a team as long as there are some left available so here’s
me:
-technically a freshman but have studied at the faculty before
-communication in Czech/English/very slow German
-not a C/C++ guy but I’m taking the C++ class in parallel
-have coded for food
This is my ideal teammate:
-highly motivated to pass this subject
-willing to start working on the assignments early
If you’re the C guru looking to write a Linux killer in this course, please
don’t contact me. Everyone else, let me know if you’re interested.
Regards
KV

It seems that I have also found a team (even at this hour). Both me and
Ondřej quickly received mail from interested people so it seems that there a
lot of you that still lack a team or team members. I think using the mailing
list is a great opportunity to find each other so don't be shy.

Hi,
I am also a Master's student that haven't got around to enrolling into this
course until now because of the same reason (and because I dread sitting in
labs at Mala Strana).
My qualities:
- languages: English, French or Czech
- I'm interested in practically everything, therefore, I'm not lost in any
topic (especially in CS)
- I don't have much experience with C or kernel programming, but I have used
C++ and Rust once or twice
- I have solid experience with developing real world applications
- I'm more focused on the result of a project than on the way to the result
(by this I mean that I'm not going to spend any time trying to save cycles,
programming "nice" solutions or data structures or doing anything that does
not significantly improve the product or life of its developers)
What I'm looking for:
- Somebody who is reliable!
- Somebody who can communicate.
- Somebody who does not hoard code without commiting.
- Somebody who takes pride in what they do and find it enjoyable.
I would be interested in making a team with @Ondrej if he would like to.
Otherwise I'm free and would like to find a solid team.
Best regards, Jan Vykruta

Hi everyone,
since it looks like there is no system in place for creating teams other
than "talk to other people" (...I know, right?), I would like to reach out
with some self-promotion. If the following interests you, please get in
touch by answering this thread or at roztocil at outlook.com
(mailto:roztocil at outlook.com).
Here's what I can offer (aside from a badly written attempt at funny
advertisement):
-- I can communicate in Czech and English.
-- I am no expert in C, but I am a "very ok" modern C++ programmer (did my
BA thesis in it) and know the main hazards of travelling back in time.
-- I am a first-year master's student and did the final state exam
(státnice) that included this stuff fairly recently. (I didn't do this
particular course during my BA because it was designated as an optional MA
course in my plan, but now I am interested in what I missed out on...) Also,
you can be sure that my soul has been fully crushed by Matfyz and I am free
of ego.
-- I have some experience with professional real-world SW development, so I
know your time is valuable and there is never enough of it.
What I would prefer in my teammates:
-- Similar profile, i.e. other MA or late BA students. However, if you are a
first-year student who learns fast, I would be happy to work with you.
-- Taking at least a bit of pride in your work, not just doing the basic
minimum.
-- Willingness to do boring adult stuff like answering emails.
-- Understanding that code review is a fundamental part of team development.
Anyway, if you have read up to this point you are already in my team -
sorry, I don't make the rules.
Cheers
Ondřej Roztočil
